A Christmas Carol

Having portrayed a character like Jacob Marley before, I aimed to show a different side of myself. My main goal was to establish myself as Scrooge's seven-years-dead business partner, using the script to fill in details about our relationship.

I then focused on physicalizing Jacob's ghostly movements, which evolved from a fast, heavy walk to a lethargic, haunting stumble due to the chains I carried. I worked on class, status, objectives, obstacles, and centres, deciding early on that Jacob was a man of high class, money, and influence.

This set my strong objective of peace, with my heart as my centre, tender and warm. My obstacles were time, as Spirit 1 had given an ultimatum, and Scrooge's mind, as I had to convince him to change his ways.

Additionally, I played several other characters as a singer, including a gentleman and a miner from Wales, showcasing my classical singer vocal technique and singing carols that moved the story along and held everything together.
